Ramona Hess Drechslerei

Ramona Hess combines the traditional craft of woodturning with contemporary design. She blends traditional craftsmanship with digital and experimental techniques.

She works primarily with wood that is left over from manufacturing facilities or does not meet quality standards.

These materials are handcrafted into objects that showcase the diversity and value of wood as a natural material. Natural imperfections in the wood, such as cracks or discoloration, are deliberately highlighted. Conventional quality standards are called into question. The use of additional materials, such as adhesives, is minimized, and natural oils are used for surface treatment.

Through her work, Ramona Hess aims to raise awareness about resource conservation and local craftsmanship.

At Kaiserhaus OF GOODS, she presents collections for the kitchen and living areas. These include both one-of-a-kind pieces and small-batch items. Thanks to the artisanal production process and the unique grain of the wood, each product is one-of-a-kind.
